Why didn’t I buy these chic snow boots last week?

Why didn’t I buy these chic snow boots last week?

They say there’s no business like snow business. That is if you live in a country frequently visited by the snow. In Ireland though, it’s a different story. We shut down, we freeze, we wipe out our bread and milk rations, and, for the most part, we tend to forget about the importance of a snow-proof, cold-proof wardrobe.

Just this winter, we witnessed a number of arctic events pound the east coast of America and Europe, and even heavily disrupt New York Fashion Week. The fashion posse gingerly responded wearing their best ankle-supporting, faux-fur lined boots. Bad weather is no match for these experts.

My first real adult snow experience came last November when I travelled to a sleepy town on the edge of the Austrian Alps. My 4-day expedition thought me one very important rule: proper footwear will make or break your trip. Thankfully there is no shortage (unlike the bread) of stylish and comfortable snow boots to get you from A to B as #StormEmma rages on.

If you want to avoid a nasty ankle, hip, neck or full-body injuries from wearing improper shoes during winter’s inevitable flare-ups, then look ahead to find 10 pairs of all-weather-resistant boots that will safely and stylishly see you through this Beast From The East.
