If you’re looking for versatility in your wardrobe, and really, who isn’t, then a shirtdress is the one piece that could save you from any number of sartorial quandaries over the coming months. If you’re petite, wear your shirtdress buttoned up to the neck, and if you’re fuller figured, leave the first few buttons open to create a flattering V-shaped neckline. If your style is a little boyish, leave your shirtdress unbelted and wear over jeans or leather trousers, while women who want to emphasise their hourglass curves should always belt up.
