What’s Your Denim Identity?

What’s Your Denim Identity?

Denim may be a classic staple but the way we choose to wear it is hugely personal. Which denim diva will you be this season?

For Retro Queens

The seventies-style flare remains a favourite for its flattering cut and leg-lengthening properties. Keep your look on the right side of retro by avoiding embroidered or broderie anglaise tops. A simple silk shirt and metallic shoulder bag keep this outfit in the 21st century.

For Quirky Classicists

You like sharp silhouettes and quintessential shapes but with a bit of a twist, so a classic trench reimagined in denim fits your style sensibilities. Keep the rest of your outfit understated and let your denim trench be the showpiece.

Carolina Herrera

For Rockers and Rebels

If you want to add some tough luxe to your denim, embellish with rivets, chain detailing and studs. Take inspiration from Coach and add some utilitarian camouflage to the mix for a strong urban look.

For Downtown Girls

Cool city girls love to play with contrasts. Take a pair of loose-fitting jeans in a relaxed pale blue wash and pair them?with one of this season’s deconstructed pinstriped shirts. The juxtaposition of practical denims with “formal” pinstripes creates a really contemporary and fashion-forward look.

For?Experimentalists

If you’re a fashion innovator, Paris-based brand Y Project has probably caught your attention already. These denim turn-ups look more like peddle pushers (remember those?) but they’ll certainly make a statement on the high street.
