Your New Party Piece? A Fancy Jumper

Your New Party Piece? A Fancy Jumper

If you think fashion is all style over substance then you’ll love this trend. Strappy tops are no longer the style savvy woman’s item of choice for a Christmas bash. This season the most fashionable among us are veering towards a party jumper instead. Different from the traditional Christmas jumper in that?they don’t feature reindeer motifs, Rudolph’s red nose or jingly bells, these modern knits are cosy but super?chic. Here are the fancy jumpers I’m warming too right now.

This Zara jumper is so elegant. The frill detail elevates it from daywear to cocktail worthy wear while the cropped hem allows you to showcase high-waisted detailing, such as the decorative buttons below.

This wool silk sweater is embellished with tiny pearls and so feels far more like evening wear. It offers a beautifully understated way of showing a little skin.

This simple glittery knit is so fine that it looks less like a jumper and more like a silk top. I love its pared back appeal. It’s perfect for pairing with a decorative skirt or brocade trousers.

Fine glittery knit, €55 at & Other Stories

This sleeveless knit is more of a tunic style dress. I like how it’s been styled here over leather-look trousers. It would also look really modern layered over a midi skirt. Choose a midi with an asymmetric hemline to mirror the finish of the knit.
