Kitri’s colourful, comfortable collaboration will get you out of your WFH wardrobe slump

Kitri’s colourful, comfortable collaboration will get you out of your WFH wardrobe slump

Meet the Kitri collection that Instagram built

Had your fill of loungewear? Looking to inject a bit of colour back into your grey face, wardrobe and video calls? Meet the new collection that’ll take you out of your sartorial slump.

If you’re not already acquainted with Kitri, they’re known for their eco-friendly practices, playful colours, feminine details and stylish but laid-back pieces. And if that synopsis could be summed up into one person, it would be street style star Jessie Bush, whose Instagram page @wethepeoplestyle is closely followed by 505k fans. Having worked with Kitri founder Haeni Kim on modelling the brand’s summer 2020 collection from her home in East London, the two became friends and began to work together on a Crayola bright, comfy collaboration; Kitri x Jessie Bush.Kitri“Since so much of 2020 was spent in track pants, I wanted the collection to be as comfortable as possible, without actually being an entire capsule of loungewear!” says Jessie Bush. “So, there’s lots of cosy knits, a comfy ribbed dress, elasticated waistbands and billowing dresses; for me, comfort and quality were most important. The idea behind this capsule collection is that all of the pieces should feel special, should easily slot into your existing wardrobe and always make you feel good. Like the equivalent of a good hair day.”Kitri

It’s everything you’d want out of your wardrobe right now; there are no-effort thrown-on dresses in electric brights (including the Jessie dress, made from 100% recycled fabric), vivid prints and high impact pieces that’ll help your box jump out of the video grid and look just as good when we get back to the real world.

“The collection is very much a reflection of my own sense of style, entwined with the Kitri aesthetic,” says Jessie. “I’ve always been a big dress wearer – I love that one piece can be an entire outfit – and obviously Kitri are known for their dresses, so there’s plenty of those to go around.”
