Joanne Hynes launched her latest collection last night, and here’s our top three pieces to buy now

Last night, Irish fashion designer Joanne Hynes, revealed her AW18 collection for Dunnes Stores. The highly anticipated launch by one of Ireland’s most fashion-forward designers gave us some serious fashion sweats with a stunning presentation of unconventional fabrics, gorgeous sequins and statement embellishments. The exclusive event took place at Dunnes Stores on Dublin’s Grafton Street, where Hynes hosted a soirée of pink gin cocktails and prosecco for her excited guests. While we sipped away, we couldn’t help frantically shopping her fabulously unique pieces – before everything sold out!

Hynes latest collection, A Date with Dalí, was inspired by surrealist artist Salvador Dalí, and is an explosion of colour and texture. Hand-knitted jumpers have been decorated with bejewelled face motifs, while her gorgeous patchwork animal print coat is an absolute must-have for the autumn season. The style maven’s collection is instantly recognisable, with her signature designs and kooky patterns. Over the past ten seasons, Hynes’ partnership with Dunnes Stores has successfully married high-end clothing with high-street affordability. Although her elaborate pieces may not at first glance appear “ageless”, the presence of her fabulous Mum on the catwalk demonstrated that these are clothes for every woman. You just need the right attitude to pull them off.

Check out some of our favourite must-haves from this latest collection. We’re obsessing over the faux fur bomber with a crystal face design, the multicoloured sequinned two-piece, and colour-block jacket with rhinestone collar. Stunning.

Joanne Hynes collection is available now at dunnesstores.com, and on Grafton Street and Stephen’s Green
