Gwyneth Paltrow To Launch Clothing Line

Gwyneth Paltrow To Launch Clothing Line

Gwyneth Paltrow is creating a capsule collection for her lifestyle website and online boutique goop.com – which is one way to distract yourself from the fact your amicably divorcing husband is courting a much younger actress. Coldplay frontman Chris Martin has been attached to Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence for weeks now after the singer consciously uncoupled from Paltrow. Paltrow and Martin were married for ten years and have two children together. US Weekly reports their split has been so peaceful that Martin has bought a home across the street from Gwyneth’s in Los Angeles.

However, Paltrow is taking all these major life changes in her stride, focusing on her career as a lifestyle guru via her beloved goop.com website.

In recent years the fashion side of the business has focused on capsule collections with Paltrow’s pals Stella McCartney and Diane von Furstenberg. At the moment goop.com is hosting cheek frills, the lingerie brand that Made in Chelsea’s Rosie Fortescue and her sister Lily are the faces of. Nicholas Kirkwood has also designed a shoe line for the site.

Yesterday, Paltrow announced the new direction of the company, as well as introducing the new CEO for goop.com, one Lisa Gersh, a former executive at Martha Stewart’s company. The collection will focus on basics to begin with and we have to say we’re looking forward to seeing what Gwyneth will offer us. She may be a divisive figure – for god knows what reason – but her innate style cannot be denied.

Are you looking forward to seeing Gwyneth’s design debut?
