Add a touch of seaside chic to your holiday wardrobe with these four gorgeous pieces.
Many of us will only now be preparing for our annual summer getaway. Doesn’t it feel like Irish cities just empty out in August?
It’s always nice to have a few special, seaside-inspired pieces to add to your suitcase when you’re off somewhere sunny. These are the items I’ll be taking away with me this month.
Much loved Irish scarf brand KDK has launched a new line of kaftans for SS19. Made from either silk or a silk-cotton mix, there are five designs in this curated edit. The digital print, midi-length kaftan pictured (€150) is inspired by the volatility and beauty of the Irish sea.
This embroidered clutch looks so much more expensive than it is. It has a real luxury look about it and is perfect for glamming up a kaftan after dark.
Clutch with beaded embroidery, €27.99 at H&M
I probably wear more jewellery on holiday at any one time than I due in a week at home. I guess it’s that slightly boho feel we try to embrace when we’re on a beach. Jennifer Kinnear’s sea shell collection is so pretty. I love this limpet necklace with coloured stone.
Hollow limpet necklace, (large) €95
This gorgeous shell brooch will add a subtle touch of glamour to your holiday wardrobe. I love the diamanté element as it elevates the piece from perhaps being a little bit hokey to subtly chic.
Shell brooch with rhinestones, €19.95 (was €49) at uterque.com
