The fashion world gets a lot of deserving flack, but sometimes this industry dedicated to creating beautiful things can make a person’s day.
Take for example what happened at Naeem Khan’s runway presentation earlier this week. On Wednesday, while models gathered for one last time on the catwalk for the show’s finale, Khan walked out hand-in-hand with an 11-year-old girl in a gorgeous red dress. That girl’s name was Trinity Faith Moran and she was partaking in the show thanks to the world famous Make-A-Wish Foundation and the charity Glam4Good.
Trinity has Rhabdomyosarcoma, a life threatening cancer, and she told Teen Vogue that modelling is one of her career dreams, so when it came to making a ?wish?, she decided to walk in New York Fashion Week. It was Naeem Khan’s stylist Mary Alice Stephenson who brought all the parties together, inviting Trinity in to meet the designer a mere 24 hours before the show. The designer and his model, who flew in from Texas, talked dresses and a gorgeous red gown was drawn up and made. The scarlet dress used the same material as the other dresses in the collection and was a seamless last-minute fit. Cue the happiest girl on the runway.
What a lovely story.
