Caitriona Balfe’s Win And Dakota Johnson’s Wardrobe Malfunction At The People’s Choice Awards

Irish actress Caitriona Balfe’s star continued its steady ascent after the Outlander lead was declared Favourite Sci-Fi/Fantasy Actress at the People’s Choice Awards last night. Good for her! The show’s second series will hit screens later this year, but to receive an award for her first batch of serious acting work is a victory for Balfe, who spent her twenties modelling. Now there’s that Golden Globe she got nominated for?

The People’s Choice Awards is a funny one, but we like it. This is an awards ceremony which isn’t stuffy, promises a playful red carpet, and embraces what people actually like. Which is Furious 7.

The night’s standout moment? Dakota Johnson’s response to a small wardrobe malfunction with her Armani Priv? dress as she accepted the award for Favourite Dramatic Actress: “Well, it’s not like nobody here hasn’t already’seen my boobs.”
