Check it out! Here’s the behind-the-scenes exclusive of our IMAGE & Johny Dar shoot for the May issue. Our expert team and Johny spent 12 hours transforming our model (and had a blast doing it).

Here at IMAGE, we pride ourselves on nurturing new talent, supporting the up-and-coming, and pioneering the next big thing. Cue Johny Dar, an LA-based artist who has been garnering attention from some of the world’s most noteworthy creative heads. When we invited Johny to visit us here in Dublin, he was fresh off the back of a six-day shoot in Hearst Castle in California, with Lady Gaga’s new video, ?GUY?, and was still catching his breath from the success of his collaboration project with photography legend Rankin (not to mention a few top-secret projects that we swore we wouldn’t breathe a word of). The result of our collaboration with Johny, here, is a lesson in the awe-inspiring; together with the IMAGE team, he spent twelve hours delicately hand-painting our model, January, from head to toe, transforming her into a living, breathing homage to the female form in all its powerful glory. The result, we hope you agree, is an image that is truly special.
