Best in Show: Louis Vuitton

By IMAGE
17th Aug 2014

The breathlessly-anticipated first show by Nicolas Ghesqui’re, as creative director for Louis Vuitton, did not disappoint. Not one bit. Set in the courtyard of Le Louvre, the designer who catapulted Balenciaga to success a few years previous focused on the house’s heritage of leather goods, favouring an A-line cut and thigh-high hemline as the collection’s silhouette.

It set the tone for the sixties slant our wardrobes will take this season. Read more about our favourite runway shows in the current issue.
