We’re well aware that fashion has done (and continues to do) some odd things in its time but who’d have thought that Ali G would spark inspiration for this season’s biggest accessory trend? No, we’re not talking about that tracksuit (although with Juicy Couture’s comeback on the horizon that could easily change), it’s his flawless taste in tinted sunglasses that’s got us and the fashion industry talking. And it’s sunny! In the spirit of embracing the sunshine while we have it, why not treat yourself to a new pair of shades?
Tom Ford, Miu Miu, Balenciaga and C?line are just a few of the top labels embracing?colourful lens?this season. Even the high street have jumped on the bandwagon to support the revival. And, while Paris Hilton and Britney bore the brunt of the style criticism in the early 2000s, it’s nothing but praise for Gigi Hadid and Selena Gomez who are leading the fash pack this time around.
