As someone who’s constantly struck down by unruly hair days; hairbands, scrunchies and clips have become my accessory must-haves. Being obsessed with accessories of all shapes and sizes, this is a tall order, but hairpieces have grabbed the top spot in my arsenal. Silk scarves and anything sparkly can turn a plain outfit into a carefully considered look.
In the summer heat, hair goes limp, stringy, frizzy – basically, everything you don’t want. These light and breezy hair accessories will ensure a great hair day no matter what the weather (which, let’s face it, could be anything in Ireland).
The Polka Dot
Tap into the trend of the season with this adorable bow.
Big, bold and coral in this Mango Alice band.
Although it says floral, we’re feeling Van Gogh vibes from this artistic Accessorize scrunchie.
Pink and Airy
Channel the grandmother vibes in this soft floral satin scarf from H&M.
What would this list be without a completely over-the-top option? Perfect for a summer wedding.
Pair with an equally intricate beaded dress, and you’re ready for this year’s summer garden party.
Make an entrance while remaining comfortable in this Mango knot hairband.
Pink, pearls and velvet. A girlier headband you will not find.
Resin has risen to popular new heights in the accessory world, and this marbled white hairclip is a perfect subtle peek.
The Colour of the Year
Lilac shows no sign of going away, and this floral crown would look as much at home with a summer suit as it would with a gown.
Springy green and yellow
Pair this scrunchie with a black blazer and slacks and let your personality shine through the office.
