The minaudière is the bag of the moment.
Traditionally speaking, it is a type of formal, decorative women’s clutch bag without handles or a strap. But modern minaudières can be categorised by their box or rectangle shape, and they are constructed from hard materials with a short hard handle or long chain handle (or both). They’re usually finished with stand-out details or subtle hints of luxury like precious metals and gemstones.
These delicate bags won’t offer much room for anything else than your favourite lipstick and phone (isn’t that all you need, really?). But what they will offer the modern woman is an additional layer to the perfect winter outfit and a little bit of added luxury. This is a small accessory with a big impact.
