Watch: Christmas At Boots

Watch: Christmas At Boots

This time of year always comes around very fast don’t you think? It’s back to school one day, Halloween the next, and then before we know it, we’re thinking of fairy lights, sparkly home d?cor and tearing out recipes for mulled wine.

Life picks up pace and it’s very easy to feel under pressure to go present shopping and get things in some semblance of Christmas order.

Personally, I love thinking of what gifts to buy my loved ones – I love spending a bit of time (and frequently too much money) on things I know will thrill and delight people. It’s the time to show how much you love and appreciate them and I’m a firm believer in that.

The thing is though, if you’re rushed and unprepared for your gifting spree, you’ll notice two things happening – you run the risk of not getting the perfect present as it may be sold out, and then as a result of having to improvise or compromise, you end up getting something that’s just not quite right.

We’ve all fallen prey to this scenario no doubt, so this year let’s get things organised in time and on budget.

We all love the idea of a one stop shop that would cater to lots of our loved ones desires, (as well as to a few of our own), and that place for me this year, is Boots. Their beauty offering is so comprehensive and downright exciting that you will struggle to give away the gifts you choose for others. One quick flick through the catalogue, website or their recently launched app shows a myriad of marvelous things to treat people with.

This season too, there are some new beauty exclusives that are super-impressive. Did you know that Orla Kiely has designed a range for them? Gorgeous products all housed in her distinctive designs – what’s not to love! The No7 kit featuring the frankly amazing Protect & Perfect Intense Advanced range is among my personal faves – that entire product line has had pride of place on my bathroom shelves all year – it’s fabulous stuff and I can vouch for seeing a youthful difference in my skin.

The nail collection by Reiss is another standout in my eyes with all the tones totally on point for this festive season. I must admit to buying two of those – one for my friend, one for me; they are part of the legendary Boots 3 for 2 Mix & Match offers – so that’s a no-brainer, right!

If you’re like me, you’ll love the fact that it’s so easy to shop with Boots too; there are 80 stores around the country and they deliver nationwide via Boots.ie and the App. You can also Click & Collect which means if you order online by 12pm you can collect at your nearest store at 2pm the next day. Easy!

Have a look at two of our resident beauty gurus Melanie Morris and Triona McCarthy as we let them view a sneak peek of some the amazing Boots offerings in our video above.

Happy shopping! (remember to treat yourself too).
