Vogue Williams’ top beauty picks, as told to IMAGE Beauty Festival

Vogue Williams’ top beauty picks, as told to IMAGE Beauty Festival

It’s Day One of the biggest weekend in beauty, and the crowds are swelling at the Point Square for IMAGE Beauty Festival. One of the highlights of today’s schedule is a chat with Vogue Williams.

Pretty soon, it’s a full house in the Samsung Theatre – not suprising, as the attendees absolutely love her. I’ll confess, I spotted Vogue at the Spice Girls concert the night before, being inundated with requests for selfies and chats by excited concert goers. Where a lesser woman (read: me) would have tired pretty quickly of the attention, she never faltered in being genuinely friendly and interested – so it’s easy to see how she’s amassed such a brilliant flock of fans.

Throughout a great chat with IMAGE Contributing Editor Melanie Morris, Vogue runs through life since giving birth to baby Theodore, dealing with paps in St. Barths, her upcoming TV plans (of which she has to keep fairly shtum), and her love of Instagram. But the topic of the day is beauty, and we have the insider info of Vogue’s top five beauty picks.

Lancer Studio Light Flawless Eye Concealer

£25 from Net-a-Porter

Vogue did her own makeup on her wedding day to Spencer Matthews, and cited this miracle concealer as one of her favourite products that she used. Formulated with an amino acid complex and caffeine, it cover up dark circles and blurs the appearance of fine lines, giving an airbrushed look to the face.

Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Filter

€40 at Brown Thomas

The cult product from Charlotte Tilbury is a make-up bag favourite for everyone from top makeup artists to girls on the go. Vogue raved about the Hollywood Filter onstage, saying she wears it on its own most days to give a glow, or on top of foundation for more high-glamour looks.

Le Labo Bergamote Eau de Parfum

From £57 at Cult Beauty

While not available instores in Ireland, you can bag Le Labo’s luxury scents at Cult Beauty online, or at their specialist stand in The Loop at Dublin airport. Vogue let us in on her secret at the Beauty Festival that she drops in when waiting on a flight just to douse herself in the Bergamote scent.

The Skin Nerd’s Cleanse Off Mitt

€5.95 from cleanseoffmitt.com

A big fan of taking the time for a proper skincare routine (and a self-confessed control freak when it comes to SPF), Vogue talked us through her nighttime ritual, which includes a double cleanse before a swipe of the Skin Nerd’s famous Cleanse Off Mitt. Wipes are off limits if you want healthy skin, so using the soft mitt is a brilliant alternative. Finish off your routine with a serum and you’re good to go.

Vogue’s ultimate hero product: Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat Lipliner in Pillow Talk

€22 from Brown Thomas

And finally, Vogue’s ultimate, desert island beauty product – the inimitable Pillow Talk lip liner by Charlotte Tilbury. Another cult product from the brand, Pillow Talk is a wonder shade that seems to suit every skin tone, and can be used all over the lips to give a full and natural effect.

While day one of IMAGE Beauty Festival has come to an end, there are still some tickets for day two available. If you’d like to join us for more great discussions and pampering sessions, nab your last-minute tickets here.
