3 for Tuesday: Cleansers that rejuvenated my tired skin

3 for Tuesday: Cleansers that rejuvenated my tired skin

Great skincare starts with great cleansers, and clean skin is the base needed for everything else to work. Here are three recently launched cleansers that will be staying on my shelf…

It was a big day, the day I realised that clean – properly clean – skin is the only thing that matters when it comes to your skin making the most of the active ingredients in serums.

I always thought that no matter what, if you spend big money on serums, acids and moisturisers, your skin would see the benefits. But without a thorough cleanse, you’re on the back foot no matter what you put on it.

I love trying new skincare, but new cleansers are my jam. I love the feeling of clean, fresh and rejuvenated skin that’s not parched, and these three have been doing that for me of late.

Cleansers that stand out

cleansers

Fresh Soy Face Cleanser

€35 from Space NK

A recent discovery of mine, although not a new launch, this Soy Face Cleanser is possibly my new favourite thing. Like all things Fresh, the formula is really natural, containing soy proteins, cucumber extract, rosewater, borage seed oil, mallow flower extract, and sunflower seed oil. I use it mostly in the morning, and find it not only cleanses but also soothes my skin. You can get Fresh products in Space NK in Ireland now, which is handy.

Chanel L’Eau de Démaquillage

€100 from Brown Thomas

From the new Sublimage cleansing collection, which has four options to allow you to personalise your routine, this ‘make-up water’ (literal translation) removes make-up like a dream. It’s also enriched with natural-origin active ingredients: antioxidant vanilla planifolia water and detoxifying harungana extract.

Skin Formulas Oil and Milk Cleanser

€30 from skinformulas.ie

My good pal Dawn Hill from Floraison.ie put me on to this Irish skincare brand, and I’ve really enjoyed using their range. I love that it’s quite simplified – there are clear and straightforward names and instructions on everything. You know what you’re getting. This cleanser goes on as an oil and then emulsifies with water to make a cleansing milk. It leaves skin feeling silky soft.
