The Exclusive Lanc?me Stars & Wonders Dinner in Monaco

Editor-in-chief Melanie Morris shares her extravagant experience dining with the world’s biggest movies stars in Monaco with Lancome. As she says, when in Monaco? party like a movie star!

Kate Winslet, Penelope Cruz and Julia Roberts are guests of honour at Lancome’s gala dinner in Europe’s party playground.

Today (April 20, 2017) marks the anniversary of Grace Kelly’s wedding to Prince Rainer in April 1956, so it seemed appropriate that three of the world’s most prolific actresses should be guests of honour at Lancome’s Stars and Wonder gala dinner at the Salle Des Etoiles, Monaco.

Kate Winslet, Penelope Cruz and Julia Roberts, all long-term ambassadresses with the iconic luxury beauty brand lead the celebration of beauty with over 250 guests including Millie McIntosh, photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, and Chinese actress Liu Tao. The actresses were introduced by Francoise Lehmann General Manager of Lancome International, Julia being joined by husband Danny Moder, and Kate with husband Ned Rocknroll.

Dinner was lavish ?and served as hundreds of illuminated roses danced overhead. But far from being a stuffy affair, the party really kicked off when Australian singer Josef Salvat took to the stage. As he started his finale, a rendition of Burt Bacharach’s Say A Little Prayer (no doubt chosen for its part in the Julia Roberts movie My Best Friend’s Wedding), everyone was given a song sheet to sing along. Kate Winslet went one better by standing on her chair to join in the chorus.

As confetti cannons shot out thousands of silver stars, the night ended in a flurry of selfies, sequins and a final glass of champagne?
