Is Meghan Markle launching her own beauty brand? The signs point to yes

Rumour has it that Meghan Markle could be launching her own beauty brand soon.

While nothing has been confirmed (yet!), fans think that they’ve already figured out what Meghan Markle’s next project will be and are predicting that the former Suits star is getting ready to launch her own beauty line soon.

No stranger to the spotlight, the Duchess of Sussex has been the subject of many bizarre conspiracy theories throughout her lifetime… but this is actually one of the more plausible ones. The biggest indicator that it might be true? Both Harry and Meghan have been spotted visiting Bill Guthy at his ranch in Carpinteria, Santa Barbara *multiple times* over the past year.

The co-founder of beauty, skincare and wellness marketing company Guthy-Renker, he’s the man behind some of the best-known celebrity-founded beauty brands around – including Cindy Crawford’s skincare line, Meaningful Beauty, and Jennifer Lopez’s JLo Beauty.

Like Crawford and Lopez, Markle has long been a fan of all things skincare and beauty. Even before she assumed royal duties, she would document her love for both via her old blog, The Tig. Regularly detailing the products, styles and trends she was loving on the website, she ultimately decided to shut it down after getting together with Harry – citing “intense media scrutiny” as the reason for doing so.

Her blogging days may now be behind her, but Meghan’s own hair and beauty looks continue to be a constant source of inspiration for women around the world. In fact, RY reports that there have been more than 88,500,000 million (yes MILLION) articles written about her hair, makeup and skincare routine over the years.

No concrete details have emerged about the rumoured line, but knowing Meghan, it’s likely to have sustainability at its core… which probably means it will be vegan and cruelty-free too. We can only speculate at this point, but you can bet that we’ll be keeping a very close eye on things in the meantime.

If it’s not Meghan and Harry we’re talking about, it’s Kate and Wills and in other royal news – the internet is still not over the outfit the Duchess of Cambridge wore to the No Time To Die premiere. Stepping out in a dazzling Jenny Packham gown with sheer panelling and gold sequin detailing, many thought it was very un-her. That’s not to say we didn’t absolutely adore it, but more that it’s not a look we would have expected from Kate who usually opts for less glitzy numbers.

As it turns out, there was actually a very special meaning behind the dress choice and US Weekly reports that Kate took inspiration from a similar gown Princess Diana once wore to a Bond premiere.

A subtle nod to a gold lamé version Diana shimmied into for the A Time To Kill red carpet event, both dresses feature deep necklines, padded shoulders and similar cinched waistlines… and both are equally fabulous.
