The Best Dublin Day Spas

The Best Dublin Day Spas

Here at Image HQ, we’re firm believers that a little pampering is good for the soul. And with Storm Rachel raging and the stresses of sneachta watch, if there was ever a time to treat yourself, it’s now. So book a post pay-day session at one of Dublin’s top day spas, and wave buh-bye to those January blues.

The Dawson Spa

Tucked away at the top of The Dawson Hotel, this stylish boutique spa feels slick, stylish and seriously indulgent. The vibe is East meets West: think Asian inspired d?cor against the exposed brickwork you might find in a New York loft. Top marks, too, for using the organic Irish skincare brand, Voya; we’re big fans of the range.

January specials include the Macaroon Melt, an hour and three quarters of heaven which includes a full body coconut scrub, vanilla massage and warm foot ritual, for €110 midweek (?140 at weekends); www.thedawson.ie.

The Buff Day Spa

Situated right beside the Gaiety Theatre, for more than a decade this city centre spa has helped to soothe the stresses and strains of modern life. With a first class reputation for the standard of treatments, plus lovely facilities that include a sauna, relaxation area and tranquility room, this is a great spot to while away an afternoon.

All budgets are catered for – but if you can stretch to it, we’d recommend the Diva package: six hours of solid pampering for €350, which includes a light lunch. www.thebuffdayspa.com

The Spa at The Shelbourne

Every bit as lovely as you’d expect from this landmark, five star Dublin hotel, the spa at The Shelbourne is set over three floors with six treatment rooms, a swimming pool, sauna and steam room.

You can currently avail of their Valentine’s package, which includes an hour-long Swedish massage, use of the full facilities, plus a glass of champagne with strawberries. Linger with this in the relaxation room, looking out at the bustle of Stephen’s Green. A haven of tranquillity, the room has an elegant, period vibe: think antique furniture, oil paintings and crystal chandeliers. €125 pp; www.shelbournespa.ie
