Our Lanc?me Christmas Wishlist

What to expect from their holiday collection

We like to grumble about Christmas starting too soon, but here’s a little confession: the sight of the festive beauty collections, with all of their dazzling, glossy promise, still takes our breath away.

To facilitate gifting, at this time of year the packaging is beautiful and the shades tend to be classic, rather than trend-led – which also makes them perfect for personal use. Just sayin?.

Inspired by the French capital at night, Lanc’me’s Parisian Lights collection, on counters from November, is a case in point. A small but elegant edit for eyes, cheeks and nails, there is nothing here we haven’t seen before – but it’s perfectly executed and very covetable indeed.

The Parisian Lights Hypn’se Palette, €48, is designed to flatter all complexions. The five shades – including golds, bronzes and a warm rose gold – combine wearability with high-end glamour, and can be used wet or dry for varying intensity. Wear-time, blendability and pigment are all on-point.

Three limited shades of Vernis in Love nail polish, €19, are also launching; we predict the sell-out shade will be the gold Illumination, which gives a very special, texturised matte finish.

Finally, for that touch of sparkle, Poudre de Lumiere, €45, is a beaut: this loose, golden highlighter will add gleam and radiance to every skin-tone, with not a particle of glitter in sight. Plus that textured gold capped jar has definite dressing table appeal.
