It’s official – Victoria Beckham Beauty is happening

We may or may not have squealed when we heard this news this morning. Yes you read that correctly, Victoria Beckham is launching her own beauty range. So far very little information has been released; it’s not confirmed whether it will be just make-up or if it will include skincare as well. But what we do know is that we are excited.

Only two months ago, Beckham announced she’d be starting a beauty YouTube channel, which sent the rumour-mill into overdrive over a potential beauty brand of her own. Thankfully, those rumours came to fruition and we can expect to see it launch later this year.

What can we expect from the collection?

If it’s anything like her clothing brand, it will be will sleek, minimal and made for professional women. Her clothes exude practicality as well as elegance, so we imagine it will have extremely wearable products that can easily take you from a day to night setting.

If her previous make-up range with Estée Lauder is anything to go by, the collection won’t be huge, but rather a curated edit. The Estée Lauder range included a gorgeous moisturiser called Morning Aura (which I still regularly regret not buying); and classic eye palettes inspired (and named after) New York, London and Paris. Each one designed to fit the ‘cool girl’ vibe of each city.

Another stand-out was a range of gorgeous, wearable eye glosses, which could be popped on top of your eyeshadow for a bit of night time grungey-ness. This range was well received when it first launched, with many products repeatedly selling out. We definitely expect the same to happen with her own collection.

With the Victoria Beckham runway show taking place at NYFW this weekend, we’re hoping to see a sneak peek of the products in action backstage. Judging from the reaction to the news in the IMAGE office this morning, the range is bound to be a success; and makes us wonder – is there anything Victoria Beckham can’t do?
