In a recent interview with Stylist she shared her beauty secrets with us refined carb scoffing?folk. The key takeaways?

Ms. Paltrow embraces ageing.

“There’s nothing fun about being at that young age where you don’t know yourself and you’re struggling so much to accept yourself.”

While she admits that there is a standard women are “supposed to hold themselves to” and that it isn’t going away anytime soon,?Gwyneth says that ageing is actually pretty great, citing Cameron Diaz and Stella McCartney as two friends she sees as “beautiful, happy to be women and are contributing something.”

She’s not into the morning routine and doesn’t pile on the product when she’s not working on a shoot or set. She does, however, believe in sticking to one’s skincare routine. She quotes?Sonya Dakar’s Flash Facial?and Organic Omega Booster oil as some of her necessities.

Don’t self-criticise as it “is indicative of a lack of happiness on a soul-level”. Be “gentle to yourself” on the inside and out.

And if those beauty and wellness tips don’t exactly convince you, how about taking a leaf from the books of these icons?

Sophia Loren
The Italian siren swore by olive oil. The actress would include the elixir in her diet where possible as well as using it as a moisturiser. You’ll find us in the kitchen.

Audrey Hepburn
The Sabrina star was famous for her doe eyes and those sumptuous lashes. Her makeup artist Alberto Rossi was responsible for their upkeep and would separate Audrey’s lashes individually with the help of a pin.

Miranda Kerr
The Australian model is allegedly a big proponent of dry brushing – hence that perma healthy glow. Dead skin is gone,?circulation is improved, a supermodel is born?

Cara Delevingne
When she’s not singing opposite Pharrell, Cara is one of the busiest models in the world. You’d think she’d have a beauty laboratory following her around to every exotic locale but the Burberry brand ambassador keeps things simple, in that she swears by Simple makeup wipes.
