Sneak Peak: Gwen Stefani’s Urban Decay Lipsticks Are Divine

by Jennifer McShane
05th Jan 2016

Style icon Gwen Stefani’s collaboration with Urban Decay has gone down a treat so far.?Her limited edition eye palette?was the subject of much discussion and the top of many waiting lists during the festive season just gone, and we’ve been eager to nab’more items from her collection. Gwen’s signature beauty look usually comes down to one thing: a standout lip. Whether it’s a strong matte red or a glossy pink, the singer knows how to rock a lipstick, which is why we are thrilled to finally get a sneak peak (God bless Instagram) of the shades we’ll soon be able to stash in our beauty bags.

Screen Shot 2016-01-05 at 19.21.12

The good news is that the eight shades are bold and vibrant,?but with varying’degrees of pigment and texture; some are sheer, others matte and a few have a creamy consistency. The shades will be as follows:

  • Rocksteady (cream)
  • Spiderwebs (cream)
  • 714 (mega matte)
  • Wonderland (cream)
  • Ex-Girlfriend (sheer)
  • Firebird (cream)
  • Phone Call (cream)
  • Plaid (cream)

You can see four of the colours below:?From L-R: Rocksteady, 714, Ex-Girlfriend and Firebird. We’re loving the deep red and nude pink in particular. Regardless of your colour preference, you’re bound to find a shade you love.

We haven’t heard much else about the range as yet, other than the fact that it will be released this spring (joy), but while we wait, here is some proof that we’re surely not going to be disappointed if Gwen’s flawless lipstick-wearing history is anything to go by:

An enviably pretty glossy pink

Few rock a red lip like she does and it screams Hollywood glamour

This one is bright and bold, but she makes it work

The glossy plum tones are divine

Are you excited to see more of Gwen’s make-up line?
