Braids Are Back

We don’t know about you but when’the hot weather arrives all we?want to do is get the hair off the back of our necks and out of our face so we don’t completely melt. And this Spring/Summer season the brushed back braid was all over the runways.?Get yourself some high-end inspiration for this practical yet?pretty style.

Donna Karan went for a three-dimensional twist on the classic low pony braid, while?Franchi?teamed it with an intricate fish tail. We loved the chic equestrian french braid at Biagiotti and Burani also did a sweet high-ponied knot braid that’s the perfect casual?Sunday?up-do. If you don’t fancy the pony, the unfortunately-named-but-very-chic-pigtails are also a huge hair trend for the season, either go?the messy and loose like?the Scott show or the DKNY slicked back and super neat look. Gaultier went for a brave fully braided up-do, while Mohapatra did an edgy take on the traditional bridesmaid style. If you won’t want to have all your hair swept up, look to Chlo? or Minkoff for inspiration. Chlo? took the weight out of the hair with tight french braids and we love the side fringed braid at Minkoff.

Now you have no excuse, get googling “How to do a fishtail plait” now…
