As?winter is soon coming to an end, it’s time to consider re-introducing rosy?pinks and soft coral shades back into our makeup bags.?When it comes to blushers, there is a variety of options available. Each will compliment a fresh and bright spring makeup look, finishing the face with a dusting of colour.
Yves Saint Laurent Babydoll Kiss & Blush in Orange Fougeux,??29
Working overtime, with its suitability for both cheeks and lips, YSL’s Babydoll Kiss & Blush is a smart purchase and looks gorgeous no-matter where it’s placed – particularly in this tangerine shade. It adds a fresh, subtle tint to cheeks that provides an alternative to the traditional pink and perks up any pout with its soft, creamy texture and kissable shade.
Isadora Face Sculptor in Warm Peach,??25.95
This cheek charmer doesn’t just include a pretty blush, as it is?accompanied by a soft highlighting powder and a deep bronzer. The blush is a delicate peach, ?complimented by the flesh-tone highlighter and chocolate bronzing powder.
Benefit Dandelion Brightening Finishing Powder,??34
A firm favourite for many, Benefit’s Dandelion is the perfect shade of soft pink which adds light and colour to the face. The powder?is gently pigmented, and this particular tone is suitable for any complexion.
Sleek Blush in Rose Gold,??5.99
This reddish blush has a strong pigment, which looks best when applied to the apples of the cheek and blended out and up from there.
Dior Diorskin Rose Glow,??47.50
Dior do pale pink so beautifully, and this blush is no exception. If you crave frosted cheeks, this is the’dream option.
Revlon PhotoReady Cream Blush in Pinched,??11.49
This luscious coral cream blush provides a delicate cheek tint that is ideal for both daytime and evening looks. This product is particularly perfect?for a spring makeup look, as it is fresh and dewy when applied. It could also?be used on the eyes, dabbed over the lid, for a shimmering, glossed look. Note: If you are in the habit of using face powder, make sure to apply this before the powder, for if it applied on top, it tends to create a ‘cakey’ texture.
Essence We Are… Awesome Multicolour Blush,??4.10
This blusher is so pretty, you might not want to use it… but you should! The two colours are at very different?ends of the pink spectrum and should be blended when used unless the aim is to create a two-tone, ombr? effect. Once mixed, the two shades create a lovely rosy powder, ideal for defining the upper cheek area.
Laura Mercier Shimmer Block in Pink Mosaic,??45
This is one for the shimmer lovers. Laura Mercier certainly does subtle sparkle very well with these four shades. When blended, this one looks beautiful, dusted over the cheekbones and upward, almost to the brow bone.
Wet n Wild Color Icon Blusher in Fantastic Plastic Pink,??3.99
It’s not just the fact that the shade name immediately reminds us of Mean Girls (2004) that recommends this blusher. Not only is it (happily) affordable, but the pink suits?those with super pale skin.
