We asked fitness coach Alex Hassett to try the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G

It’s not just a new device, it’s a whole new category, and possibly the most desirable piece of tech to launch in 2020. When folded, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G is a phone; unfolded, it’s a full, seamless, 7.6 inch screen tablet. Both ways, it’s your life in your hands. We asked fitness coach Alex Hassett to see how the Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G fitted in to his life.

As an experienced marathon runner and HIIIT class enthusiast, Alex Hassett has always had a passion for fitness.

Now he’s a fitness coach and founder of a Run Club with Project Revive, so he relies on speedy technology to deliver regular virtual classes.

We asked him to try out the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 to see how it would transform his online coaching experience.

LIFE RIGHT NOW?

“I love using fitness as a tool to build communities and improve my clients’ mental fitness, as well as their physical fitness.

“Right now, I coach HIIT classes and a Run Club with Project Revive, and I’m a coach with F45. I’m the founder of the Irish division of @runtalkrun.”

BIGGEST TECH DEMAND IN 2020?

“Definitely the transition to online coaching. I love that I can still connect with my clients this way and be a positive part of someone’s day.”

WHERE DO YOU LIVE ON YOUR PHONE?

“Instagram for “work”, Zoom for my virtual classes, Audible and Calm for my downtime. Bleacher Report for all the latest sports news.”

THOUGHTS ON THE GALAXY Z FOLD2 5G?

“Being able to stay connected this easily is incredible. Everything I do is an attempt to connect with others, so whether that’s the superior camera quality for my shameless running selfies or the fact I can set it up and shoot my virtual class pretty much anywhere without lugging my laptop around is really handy.”

GOALS FOR 2021?

“I’m aiming to run from Dublin to Galway, a distance of a little over 200km; and Dublin to Cork, which will be roughly 250km.

“I’ve completed a few 130km runs in 2020, so hopefully I can step up my training and try to raise some money for charity along the way.”

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 5G comes in two premium colour options (Mystic Black and Mystic Bronze), available at Harvey Norman and the Samsung online store from RRP €2,099, shop.samsung.com/ie.
