Kin, Netflix 

If you haven’t seen Kin, the popular RTÉ crime drama yet, it’s landing on Netflix this week so no time like the present. The series follows the lives of the Kinsellas, a fictional Dublin family with Aidan Gillen and Ciarán Hinds starring as rival gang leaders Frank Kinsella and Eamon Cunningham. When a member of the Kinsella clan is killed, the family embark on a gangland war with an international cartel, a war that is impossible to win. Out-numbered, out-financed and out-gunned – the Kinsellas find themselves holed up in their Dublin stronghold while their businesses fail, and family members and associates are picked off. But they have something the cartel does not, the unbreakable bonds of blood and family…

Shardlake is a compelling whodunnit based on the internationally popular Tudor murder mystery novels by C.J. Sansom. Set in 1536, the story centres on Matthew Shardlake, a brilliant lawyer with an acute sense of justice. He finds his life turned upside down when Thomas Cromwell, Henry Vlll’s right-hand man, sends him to the remote monastery of Scarnsea to investigate a murder, and to ultimately claim its wealth for the King. Accompanied by the arrogant and ambitious Jack Barak, it becomes clear that the death they are investigating is not the first. Facing hostility and suspicion at every turn and unsure of Barak’s true intentions, Shardlake is drawn into a web of lies, deceit and corruption that threatens not only his integrity, but his life.

Anne Hathaway is finally back on our screens in this new rom-com many believe to be loosely based on Harry Styles (writer Robinne Lee has since said that the character of Hayes was inspired by a variety of different men, from her husband to Prince Harry). It tells the story of Solène (Anne Hathaway), a 40-year-old single mom who begins an unexpected romance with 24-year-old Hayes Campbell (Nicholas Galitzine), the lead singer of August Moon, the hottest boy band on the planet. The duo meet at Coachella and well, sparks fly.

Acapulco, Apple TV+

In season three of Acapulco,  it’s time to reconcile past mistakes and exciting new beginnings. In the present story, older Maximo (Eugenio Derbez) finds himself returning to a Las Colinas he no longer recognises, while in 1985, younger Maximo (Enrique Arrizon) continues his climb up the ladder of success while potentially jeopardising all the relationships he’s worked so hard to build.
