What to make this weekend: A grown-up ice-cream sundae

Quick, easy, decadent and boozy – what’s not to love about this adult’s-only dessert?

Grown-up Sundae
Serves 4-6

Ingredients

  • 100ml maple syrup
  • 1/2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp brandy
  • good-quality vanilla ice cream

To serve

  • chopped walnuts

Method

Heat the maple syrup with the butter and brandy. Cool. Pour over the ice cream and garnish with chopped walnuts.
