Lidl’s famous hanging basket chair is back in stores today

If you have visions of yourself sitting outside in your garden, basking in that warm(ish) summer sun, Aperol in hand, then I have good news for you – Lidl’s famous hanging basket chair is due to be restocked this month and it’s just what you need to round-out your al fresco vision.

An item that has been on my own personal shopping list for quite some time, the investment seems all the more necessary this year when backyard soirées with my housemates are likely to make up the bulk of my summer socialising plans. May as well live glamorously, even if it is at home.

Selling for just shy of €300, the chair will be available across the retailer’s 168 stores nationwide from today, Thursday, April 29. Featuring a beautiful black wicker design and comfortable plush cushion, the chair is suspended from a powder-coated steel frame complete with a height-adjustable chain. Not only is it durable and weather resistant – perfect for the changeable Irish conditions our little country has come to be known for – but it also doubles as a reading nook and cosy napping spot too.

Needless to say, you best be quick if you want to make sure you bag one though. Selling out within the first 24 hours last year its reputation precedes it, so you definitely won’t be alone in trying to make sure one makes it into your shopping cart. Queueing for concert tickets once took precedence – now it’s chic garden furniture.
