Pinterest has released a report into what we’ve all been searching for on the platform, and it’s insightful to see where interiors trends are headed this season. Here are the ones that are set to take over, plus some inspiration on how to add them to your own home.
Rustic farmhouse
This summer, we’re going to be craving design touches inspired by nature, given the rising popularity of rustic aesthetics and farmhouse cottage interiors. Searches for Farmhouse cottage interiors are up 370%, showing people are seeking the charm of rural living, such as natural materials and patterned textiles.
Martha Stewart aesthetic
With searches for this up 2,889%, we can’t get enough of the American author, presenter and businesswoman’s style. As well as a timeless, classic design, she is also known for her cooking and gardening, showing people’s interest in indoor-outdoor living in the warmer months, as well as a desire to entertain and make use of fresh produce.
Garden parties
Summer is the perfect time of year to host a garden party, and we’re being inspired by everything from outdoor furniture to accessories that can be used inside and outside. Of particular interest are summer garden party decorations, up 44%, and vintage-style garden parties, up 83%.
