IMAGE staffer and beloved dog mom Doireann Murray recently visited Cookhouse 360. Here's why it's a must-eat if you’re visiting Dungarvan.

We were on a camper van trip recently and booked into The Getaway campsite in Dungarvan. My Dad, living in Dunhill, decided to meet us for the evening, so I booked Cookhouse 360, having heard lots of great reviews from my wider family.

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, inviting and buzzing with energy. The staff were incredibly welcoming – attentive without being intrusive, and genuinely passionate about what they do. Casey was looking after us for the night, and she was incredible.

We were seated in the Pergola Dining Room, an enclosed dining room with a stunning rustic feel and natural greenery. There is a cosy fire there also, perfect for visiting in colder months. With local art adorning the walls and picturesque views, it really was a secret piece of heaven.

Locally sourced

The menu offers something for everyone, and every dish we tried was cooked to perfection. Fresh, locally sourced ingredients were clearly the stars of the show — full of flavour, beautifully presented, and served piping hot. The meatballs were melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the seafood options like the calamari and black sole were incredibly fresh (you can taste the ocean!). The restaurant had lots of options for veggies and vegans too, which I was delighted to see.

The cocktails were equally impressive — creative, balanced, and expertly crafted. Whether you’re in for a full dinner or just a casual drink and bite at the bar, Cookhouse 360 delivers across the board.

Dog-friendly

The outdoor seating area was ideal for us; it was dog-friendly, and the team couldn’t have been nicer to our baby girl! Greeting her with her own treat and water bowl and serving her a breast of chicken made just for us made this go even higher on our estimations.

It’s clear the crew here, from the owner Ev to the wider team, cares deeply about quality, service, and experience. Cookhouse 360 isn’t just a meal — it’s a memory. We’ll absolutely be back!
