Whether you’ve had your bag packed since the start of the summer or you’re scrambling around making a last minute list of what to bring and who to see, here’s you go-to survival guide for Electric Picnic 2022.

With epic acts set to perform across the weekend in Rankin’s Wood, at the Terminus Stage, the Three All for Music Stage, and Mind + Body, here are the headline performances taking place on the Main Stage and in the Electric Arena.

Conversations not to be missed

In addition to the array of incredible musical performances, there will also be a number of thought-provoking and entertaining conversations taking place across the weekend. The Blindboy Podcast will be spreading the word in MindField at 2.30PM on Saturday, while Vogue and Joanne of My Therapist Ghosted Me will be heard from the Main Stage at 2.30PM on Sunday.

There will be a panel discussion on the History of Ireland’s Hedge Schools entitled Unmanageable Revolutionaries: Women and the Decade of Centenaries taking place in MindField on Saturday at 4PM with Margaret Ward. Also taking place on Saturday at 2PM in MindField will be a conversation between Aideen Barry, Emma Dabiri and Patrick Freyne entitled What if we’re the last generation of writers and thinkers?

Camping essentials

Thankfully, the good people of TikTok have done the leg work for us on this front, and have compiled many’s the list of absolute essentials you need to take with you. Here’s a quick rundown of what you’ll need in addition to a tent, sleeping bag and a sturdy pair of wellies:

  • A camping chair
  • Several pairs of warm socks
  • Bin bags
  • Power bank
  • Toilet roll
  • Dry Shampoo
  • Dioralyte
  • Sun cream
  • Pain killers
  • Towels
  • Shampoo & conditioner
  • Wipes of the makeup, baby, and antibacterial variety

Food and drink

While it’s certainly advisable to bring along an array of snacks to keep you going into the small hours, you’ll have endless options of top-notch food trucks on-site to try out over the course of the weekend. Among them, you’ll find Julia’s Lobster Truck, Cibo Pizza, Gidi’s Great on the Grill, and The Chaat Shop. A great opportunity to sample some new flavours and cuisines, make sure you keep that stomach lined.

Casa Bacardí will be back providing their signature electrifying atmosphere, unique sound and delicious original cocktails. Heineken’s Greener Bar will be putting sustainability centre stage as they reduce waste, water and energy use while providing, and Piazza Birra Moretti are bringing a flavour of Italian life to Stradbally.

Tips and tricks

  • Make note of two contact numbers of friends you’re attending the festival with and set it as your lock screen in case your phone gets lost
