Watch: Trailer For Bridget Jones’s Baby With Colin Firth And Patrick Dempsey

Bridget Jones is back and better than ever, with ridiculously charming men falling at her feet, so much so, she can’t quite tell who is the father of the baby she’s carrying. Bridget Jones’s Baby sees the return of Renee Zellweger as our titular heroine, along with a slightly silver-haired Colin Firth as Mark Darcy and newcomer Patrick Dempsey. There’s no Hugh Grant, but it’s about time they put that fling to bed.

We’re pretty thrilled that the movie makers decided to come back with a sequel – the third movie – that doesn’t tie in with the third book in the series, because that was depressing as hell and *spoiler alert* the story begins with the horrible reality of Mark Darcy’s death.

In this forthcoming flick, however, he seems to be alive and well. The follow up to 2004’s The Edge Of Reason (which was a bit crap) is based on a series of columns written by the story’s creator Helen Fielding for the Independent between 2005 and 2006. Directed by Sharon Maguire (who helmed the original back in 2001, so you know it will be good), the story here centres on Bridget’s pregnancy and the mystery surrounding the father, with a big reveal at the end. They’ve even filmed multiple ending options to save the surprise from being ruined.

Hot off the shelves, the trailer for the much anticipated return of Bridget has just dropped. Watch it here!
