This weekend’s must-attend music festival has our appetites building…

Sure, music festivals offer you the chance to soak up some favourite artists while basking in the leafy outdoors with friends – woodlands equal divilment – but one of the best parts of festival season in Ireland is the travelling carnival of foodie delights. A battered burger and chips slipping out of haphazard paper bags are a thing of the past and we think this weekend’s Groove Festival is hitting it out of the ballpark with their temporary emporium.

Carnivores find themselves in luck this year at Groove with an open BBQ offering a delicious and succulent-sounding Hog Roast. We’re already feeling very Sherwood Forest. Also, there’s no need to fear for your arteries as the Salad Bar is in action nearby and for those of you forgoing some Wimbledon kicks at the weekend make sure to catch some strawberries and cream. (Also check out our Pimms-at-the-ready recipe here from some at home action?) Crepes continue the summer dessert theme and we’re squirreling away the petty cash for a Teddys cone. And to quench those summer thirsts? The tapas area will have jugs of Sangria with flutes of Prosecco. Meanwhile, other bars will offer mojitos and wine. So very classy.
