The new Penneys’ homeware drop brings sunshine and warmth to gloomy January

What used to be there in that gaping hole before you put your Christmas tree up? Was there a side table? A picture? If your home is suddenly looking rather empty, liven it up with the 2019 Spring/Summer Penneys’ homeware drop.

From cosy, natural textiles, vibrant sunny yellows and plenty of greenery in sight, there’s plenty to brighten and lighten the winter gloom.

Tired of confining tropical palm prints to two dimensions on our walls and fabrics, it’s time for the real thing… well… sort of. For those of us who are, shall we say, neglectful of our house-potted friends, Penneys new collection has a wide variety of faux plant options, like pudgy cacti and wispy spider plants.

Wicker Candle Lantern €15, Faux med wood €5, Plant in white pot €5, Pink ceramic pot stand €6.

However, if you are an attentive plant parent, there are also some sweet little pots, including minimalist pink ceramic ones with brass-stemmed legs, wicker or just clean and simple cream creations.

Keeping with the natural theme, there are plenty of earth-hued tones and woven textures through cushions, lighting and home accessories, all brought to new heights with luxurious velvets in yellows and calm blues. Here’s a look at the complete collection, which hits shelves this week.
