Why Next Has All Your AW Wardrobe Needs

It's no secret that I take great pleasure in shopping for the colder months. Even the faintest Atlantic chill?is enough to send me in search of the perfect winter wares, and this season Next has everything I need to battle the winter blues in style.?From heavy and lightweight knits, sumptuous suede and structured outerwear to delicate silks and?tactile textures?in seasonal shades of cranberry, terracotta and mustard, Next has catered for both my workday and weekend wardrobes.

One of my favourite pieces from the collection is this mid-length accordion pleat skirt with abstract splashes of print in rich autumnal hues. It'sits beautifully on my waistline for a feminine silhouette, and the fluidity provided by the knife pleats creates a really luxurious silhouette. To balance the femininity of the skirt, I would pair it with a sober?black polo neck and blazer. Great style is always about creating clever contrasts and balancing masculine and feminine influences.

As a huge fan of masculine tailoring, I was immediately drawn to?Next's selection of checked blazers. They?are'real seasonal standout pieces for me.?When worn with something colourful and soft, such as?a?chiffon shirt or shirt,?they becomes less austere and less boyish.?They will also work beautifully with simple black trousers for a pared-back, 1980s-style aesthetic. Similarly, this striped shirt with oversized cuffs is a real wardrobe hero. Wear it with relaxed jeans for a laid-back weekend look or with cigarette pants for a look that will take you from the boardroom to the bar.

A'statement shoe is a great way to add a focal point to?a simple outfit and?Next has a terrific range of boots and sparkly sandals.?Try wearing these cool pink sock boots with some'distressed denim in a loose fit for a fuss-free?outfit?that still makes a strong style statement.
