12 Wedding Outfits for Spring ’15

Almost all of us have a spring or summer wedding to attend in 2015. Whether it’s your best friend, your cousin, your niece or your grandaughter, weddings are ten-a-penny in the first half of the year. And though it might not feel totally spring-like yet outside, our favourite stores are already on board. Now is the time to find your perfect g?na. Below we round up some of our high street favourites, most of which are available to buy online right now.

Of course, all eyes will be on the bride, but if it’s a bold, colourful statement you’re after, this plunging backless halter dress ought to do the trick. €88.80, Asos.com

If blue isn’t your colour, and you’d like to keep your boobs tucked away, this red dress from Reiss gets our vote. €245.

Regardless of the season, however, you can never go wrong with black. We love the detail on this neckline, also from Reiss. €270.

For an LBD that you can wear time and time again, All Saints will totally hook you up. €128.

Just because spring is in the air, doesn’t mean you have to get your arms out. If you’re more comfortable with your arms under wraps, this Topshop option does the trick. The sheer material gives a more elegant edge without having to expose yourself. €150, Topshop online.

Same effect with this option from Coast Stores, €115

Full length dresses are tricky. You don’t want to turn up looking like a bridesmaid. This laid back, boho-style peach dress saves you from looking OTT. That being said, if it’s a black-tie wdeding you’re off to, full length is more than acceptable. €116.30, Asos.com

Somewhere between full length and cocktail-length, Asos have this stunning, vintage, scallop-detailed navy dress. Virgos Lounge Ursula Embellished Midi Dress With Wrap Skirt. €184.44.

If you’re off to a black tie affair, avoid anything over-embellished; you don’t want to detract from the bridal party. And obviously, avoid white unless you’ve a particular hatred towards the bride. €195, Coast.

You don’t have to wear a dress. Playsuits are always an option. If the wedding you’re attending is especially chilled out and casual, you might feel out of place in a big meringue-type gown. Playsuits such as this one can be dressed up with killer heels and accessories. Your hair and make-up can also do a lot of the work. €68.31

If you’ve been blessed with a set of Taylor Swift-like pins, why not show them off? Remember the rule: if you’re going to get the legs out, best to keep yourself covered up top. Well, at least for a wedding. This one’s ideal for the pattern lovers among you. Pair this with a floppy navy hat and you’ll be the talk of the reception. And the best part? It only costs €49.95 at Zara.

For fans of texture and geometric style, this green dress from & Other Stories sees broderie anglaise merge with romantic quality with sharp tailoring in this figure-tracing V-neck dress finished with a wrap skirt. In love. €75.
