Santa?s grotto at Arnotts is located on the top floor and there is no charge to visit Santa at Arnotts. Santa will be on hand to meet the children of Dublin and from further afield until Christmas Eve in Arnotts. If there’s one Irish establishment, synonymous with tradition, where you can find everything under one, magical roof for a fabulous Christmas, it’s always been Arnotts. At this time of year, Arnotts becomes destination Christmas for enchanting gifts. Whether it’s the latest gadget for dad, or a special piece of jewellery for mum, the must-have cookbook for our foodie BFF, or the most stunning selection of decorations with which to dress your tree, Dublin’s most beloved department store takes the headache out of Christmas. From now: Santa has arrived’down from the North Pole to meet and greet the kids at Arnotts. This year, the elves at the department store have devised a wonderful queuing system where you no longer have to stand in line for too long. Simply register your interest, head off for a spot of shopping or lunch and when you are five families away from your meeting with Santa, you’ll receive a text to your phone. Christmas is nothing if not magical, right?

Hot and bothered with all of that shopping? Dublin’s famous ice-cream parlour, Scrumdiddly’s, has opened a pop-up shop inside the Henry Street window, sure to keep you cool and collected all Christmas, and a perfect treat for the kids too.
