Watch: Zayn Malik Debuts New Single ‘It’s You’ About Perrie Edwards On The Tonight Show

Much to the delight of Zayn Malik fans the world over – apologies, it’s just Zayn now; the bad boy and ex-One Directioner has dropped his second solo track, taking to Jimmy Fallon’s stage for his first solo performance since the boyband’s split. The song, It’s You, is believed to chronicle his relationship with his former fianc? Perrie Edwards and like Pillow Talk, it’s sure to be another sultry R&B style hit. The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon also introduced the teen heartthrob’s album artwork to the world which shows Zayn smiling widely at the camera as a kid with his arms covered in tattoos, set against a black backdrop. The album title is Mind of Mine and from everything we’ve seen thus far – wave of pink hair included – it seems Mr Malik has devised a whole strategy that will move him as far away as possible from the cookie cut-out pop genre where he first found fame.

What do you make of the new track? It’s certainly very different from anything we’ve heard before and far too artsy to have ever featured on a 1D album. We don’t want to like it (team Perrie, obviously), but we do.
