The annual Leopardstown Christmas festival took place on Wednesday, December 28th, and apart from the races that took places throughout the day, it was the fashion that won the crowds in a winning display of high fashion, style, and chic millinery.

The judges ?on the day were stylist and designer Sonya Lennon and Bairbre Power, Fashion Editor of the Irish Independent and Weekend Magazine, were kept busy throughout the morning as ladies from across Ireland flocked to Leopardstown in their finery to take part in the Cliff at Lyons Style Stakes, the most fashionable event on the day’s race card.

Gillian Gilbourne from Millstreet, Co. Cork, took the overall Cliff at Lyons Style Stakes award wearing a stunning Donegal Tweed outfit with a gorgeous Marc Millinery hat and Amy Huberman heels.

At stake, €10,000 worth of Cliff prizes, with Ms Gilbourne taking home three luxury VIP weekends at each of Cliff’s three Irish resorts – Cliff House Hotel in Ardmore, Waterford, Cliff Townhouse in Stephen’s Green, Dublin and the stunning country estate of Cliff at Lyons in Kildare. The super stylish finalists who were awarded fabulous Cliff at Lyons prizes were Louise Allen from Slane, Co. Meath, Geraldine Shalvey from Dublin, Tara Hanniffy from Newbridge, Co. Kildare and Faith Almond from Co. Carlow.
