City Hall welcomed Ireland’s fashion elite on Wednesday 12th of August in collaboration with DublinTown for the launch of the 2015 Dublin Fashion Festival. On the night,’style icon Pippa O’Connor Ormond was announced as?the face of Dublin Fashion Festival.?Speaking of her involvement in the festival, Pippa commented: ?I’m thrilled to be working with DublinTown on this year’s Dublin Fashion Festival. Being the face of the Festival is an honour and is something I wanted to do for couple of years now, I’m so excited to have been asked and to be a part of Dublin Fashion Festival 2015. I have always championed Irish style and I love the charm and energy of Dublin fashion.? Nothing compares to shopping in the capital. There’s always something different to see and experience so I’m really looking forward to what the festival has in store, I’ve no doubt that it will be a fantastic week.”

Guests at the launching event were treated to’delicious canap’s and on departure they received a gift bag crammed with goodies including a voucher for Penneys, Arnotts cosmetics, Brooke and Shoals candles, Only vouchers, delicious Propercorn treats and complimentary after party drinks in The Meeting House.

Dublin Fashion Festival will take place on Grafton Steet and Henry Street from the 7th – 13th September, transforming the sidewalks into catwalks. The festival will see over 200 retailers, restaurants, bars and hotels taking part in one of the city centre’s liveliest annual festivals. During the festival you will find?night-time extravaganzas, exciting in-store events, exhibitions and much more.?The cr’me de la cr’me of young designers from across Ireland will also have the chance to showcase their vision for fashion, and compete for the coveted title of Young Designer of the Year.
