Kensington Palace shares new photos of Kate Middleton, Prince William and kids

Kensington Palace has shared a series of photographs showing Kate Middleton, Prince William and their three children exploring the ‘Back to Nature Garden’ at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show

Kate Middleton has been an advocate for children’s mental health for a long time; often emphasising the importance of spending time in nature for children’s overall wellbeing.

With that in mind, the Duchess of Cambridge co-designed a ‘Back to Nature’ garden with landscape architects Andrée Davies and Adam White. It’s an eco-friendly setting for families and communities to come together and connect with nature and the environment.

The woodland-style garden, which includes a swing seat and tree house, is a multi-sensory space at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. What’s more, it forms part of Kate’s ongoing work on early childhood development; whereby she supports efforts giving every child the best possible start in life.

“I really feel that nature and being interactive outdoors has huge benefits on our physical and mental wellbeing, particularly for young children,” said the 37-year-old royal.

“I really hope this woodland that we have created really inspires families, kids and communities to get outside, enjoy nature and the outdoors, and spend quality time together. I believe that spending time outdoors when we are young can play a role in laying the foundations for children to become happy, healthy adults,” she added.

A family venture

According to a statement shared by the royal family, Kate Middleton enlisted the help of her three young children to complete the garden.

“Over the past months,” the statement read, “Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis have helped the duchess gather moss, leaves and twigs to help decorate the garden. Hazel sticks collected by the family were also used to make the garden’s den”.

To celebrate the garden’s completion, Kensington Palace has shared a series of photographs, all of which show the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, as well as their children, enjoying some time outdoors.
