By Bill O'Sullivan

Kenmare Food Carnival 2013

For those escaping the burning tarmac of the city in this glorious heat, the Kenmare Food Carnival is one of the choicest selections for the weekend. Showcasing the best of local producers, national chefs, restaurants and caterers, it is one of the festivals that bears testimony to the increasingly vibrant food scene in Ireland. From wine tastings to sherry tastings, to stalls, to cooking classes the festival is a foodie’s fantasy. There will be cooking demonstrations by some of Ireland’s top chefs as well as discussions surrounding food, with classes for ickle ones also. All set to sun-baked beauty of Kenmare.
