Kate Beckinsale’s adorable grumpy cats are all of us during lockdown

Kate Beckinsale’s adorable grumpy cats are all of us during lockdown

Kate Beckinsale and her cats Clive and Willow have naturally been spending much time together during Covid-19. The adorable creatures have been very patient with their mistress but their grumpy (if adorable) faces resemble how we all feel as lockdown goes on. We’re not thrilled about it, but we’re trying our best

First, there was the hairdressing.

Sharing a video of herself and Clive, the Underworld star perfected her hairdresser small talk as she asked where he’d gone on holiday, and explaining a range of other services from waxing to threading. The patient feline sat through the scene as she trimmed his mane, though he preferred to sit in silence minus any chit-chat.

“We also offer waxing, threading, eyebrow grooming and anal bleaching, which, I hope you don’t mind me saying, I’d recommend for you just because I so often see you from the back,” she said. “No? Well, maybe next time.”

Beckinsale filmed herself sitting on a kitchen island with her cat, dressed in loungewear and wielding a comb and scissors, and the whole thing makes for an adorable watch.

The hair dying was also a big hit.

Or, perhaps something more with a summer vibe in mind? The cat crowns went down a treat. And Beckinsale demonstrated some festival moves (and tunes to match), Clive really was up for it. Look at that face!

Willow isn’t so high-maintenance and has been making more low-key appearances, preferring to help with the weekly food shop instead.

But there’s always time for fun and games…

Living your best lockdown is all we can do right now, so, even if it might make us grouchy, why not be more like Clive and just let it happen as it will?
