JLo Gets Reals About Being Cheated On

Jennifer Lopez opens up about what it feels like to be cheated on and says it is never about you.

Hands up if you love J.Lo. If you didn’t raise your arm go outside without your coat and have a good long think about your priorites.

We’ve been devotees at the altar of Jennifer Lopez ever since she and her 1990s lip liner shared a car boot with George Clooney’s charming bank robber in The Coolest and Sexiest Movie Ever, Out of Sight. Not only does her beauty prove that there is a god, but she’s also one of the few famous people who isn’t afraid to reveal her real self. She lets it all hang out there, emotionally. Her wardrobe is about 75% tit tape.

In an interview with Glamour Lopez shows that she is just like the rest of us. The singer and actress hasn’t enjoyed the smoothest romantic life. Dalliances with dancers have resulted in short marriages. The rumours surrounding former fianc? Ben Affleck and an interest in strip clubs refuse to die. P Diddy. Or Puff Daddy. Or whatever he’s calling himself these days. Her marriage to the father of her children, Marc Anthony, ended in 2011. Last year, she broke up with her long-term boyfriend Casper Smart.

While promoting The Boy Next Door, her latest thriller that is as far from rom and com you can get (watch the trailer below), Lopez opened up about being cheated on, and how it can slay your confidence. But don’t worry, because it is not about you, she says.

“It’s about realizing it’s not about you. When someone cheats on you, it’s about them?about their shortcomings.?It makes it feel like it’s about?our shortcomings, like there was something wrong with us… but the truth is, that it’s really their ego, and?what they need to fill within themselves that drives them to do things like that. Not because you weren’t enough.”
