Gone are the days of the fluffy facials. Now we want results, and need them instantly. MELANIE MORRIS selects a few of the most powerful performers to amp up some serious summer glow.
THE CLEAN START: The Yon-Ka Hydralessence Visage Facial

THE LOWDOWN
The facial begins with a warm compress to de-stress skin and open pores before a double cleanse and spritz with plant essences. A mechanical exfoliation follows with Gommage 305 (a cult hero), which renews by rubbing away dead cells. Then the glorious massaging begins – around the eyes and to the face and neck. Finally, two masks are applied to hydrate and brighten the complexion, while the head, arms and feet are massaged to bliss.
RESULTS
My skin felt completely refreshed and rebalanced, and looked beautifully dewy, which lasted long enough for me to get a better skin regime in place. I also felt extremely relaxed after the treatment.

A key element is lymphatic drainage, conducted with gentle brushes to “sweep” away toxins, clear the skin, and strengthen the immune system. Hand, neck and shoulder massage completes the holistic experience, leaving the body revived and skin glowing.

RESULTS
I can honestly say I’ve never experienced such a positively dramatic result from a facial in Ireland. Olga puts in huge work to bring the skin to peak condition, literally melting away lines, saggy bits and dullness.
