Drew Barrymore And Husband Will Kopelman To Divorce

Actress Drew Barrymore and? Will Kopelman are planning to divorce after almost four years of marriage, according to multiple reports this morning.

The couple are currently’separated and plan to divorce soon. “They’ve been having some difficulties, but they remain close for the sake of their kids,” a source told PageSix.?The couple has?two girls together, Olive, 3, and Frankie, 1. Drew posted an Instagram of herself getting their names tattooed on her wrist last night:

Kopelman is the son of former Chanel CEO Arie Kopelman and Drew’s third husband. She has previously been married to a welsh bartender and unfunny comedian Tom Green. She was also involved with her co-star Justin Long and The Strokes drummer Fabrizio Moretti for five years.

We’re big Drew Barrymore fans, and sad to hear of the split for all involved. The E.T. child star has been vocal about her love of motherhood and marriage following a troubled childhood compromising of neglectful parenting and drug-taking.?However, she has come out the other side and remains one of Hollywood’s leading comedic actresses.

“Honestly, I don’t know how it is for other couples but I like watching him be a father,” Barrymore said of Kopelman last year. “I know everyone says you’re supposed to put your coupledom first. But I really love it being all about the kids. Maybe that’s my compensating for not having parents myself or a childhood, but right now, the focus is about how we’re figuring things out as parents.”

“Will struck a lot of my pragmatic sides,” she said. “He was someone who was always reachable on the phone, someone who was a classy human being, someone who has this incredible blueprint of a family that I don’t have.”

While she admitted that they were “polar opposites” when it comes to expressing their likes and dislikes, she admired that Kopelman “chooses to be a good person every day.”

While neither have officially commented on the split, reports are suggesting there was increasing tension over where the family wanted to settle; Barrymore was drawn towards LA while Kopelman preferred New York.

Outside of her personal life, Barrymore has been keeping busy with various film projects, the release of her memoirs and the upkeep of her lifestyle and beauty brand, Flower Beauty.
