Boots Celebrates The 175,600 Irish Women Who Work On Christmas Day

It’s a funny sort of day; the world is waking up with an insufferable post-election hangover, but as thankful balance, the Christmas ads are starting. And this one is particularly good for right now, as we are feeling a little sensitive about the worth of women across the world.

This?year Boots are raising a glass to all the women who dedicate their Christmas day to helping others around them and it’s exactly what we needed.

Every year in Ireland, around 175,600 women’sacrifice their Christmas Day to support others in their communities. But this year Boots Ireland set out on a mission to give some of these inspirational women an early Christmas gift.

The warming ad features?nine brilliant Irish women who work in a whole range of jobs including paramedics, hotel staffs, nurses, midwives, and carers.?The women were invited to take part in a day of pampering with Boots beauty specialists before being revealed to their family and friends later that evening.

The minute-long clip includes?Rachel Cunningham – a Contact Worker with Focus Ireland,?Cliodhna Scully – ?who works in the service industry, and paramedic intern?Emma Kennedy; who all sacrifice Christmas Day with their families to help others around them.
